As the architects leading this exciting revitalization project for the Town of Berthoud, we’ve envisioned a dynamic transformation of an existing park into a vibrant, multi-use community hub. The masterplan introduces a thoughtful blend of open space and built environment, anchored by a mixed-use building that combines commercial storefronts with office or residential units above—bringing life and activity throughout the day. A central open plaza creates a welcoming gathering space, while a rooftop game lawn adds playful energy and elevated views. A new bandstand with integrated public restrooms enhances opportunities for community events and performances. Throughout the site, generous green areas and varied seating options are woven into the landscape, encouraging connection, relaxation, and daily use. The design reflects Berthoud’s unique character while providing a flexible, people-centered environment that supports both local business and a thriving public realm.
